Arundel: Report to be prepared for coroner after sudden death in Gold Coast

A man has died and two others have been hospitalised – one fighting for his life – following a suspected drug overdose in a Queensland suburban garage.

Paramedics were called to the property in Arundel, on the Gold Coast in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man, 19, was found unconscious and taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

He died shortly after being transported.

Initial information indicates the death is non-suspicious.

It is understood all three suffered a suspected drug overdose but Queensland Ambulance Services did not comment.

Two other 19-year-old men who are known to the first man were also taken to hospital, one in a critical condition, the other in a serious condition.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said report will be prepared for the coroner.
